Al Gore Nominated For The Nobel Peace Prize

Sigh…

Former US vice president Al Gore is seen as a possible winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to save the planet from global warming, the head of the Oslo Peace Research Institute has said.

Well why not.  They gave it to a terrorist, why not a blow-hard chicken little who has devoted his life to telling us that the sky is falling?

But as if the nomination itself weren’t enough to make you laugh (or weep bitterly), check out their reasoning for it:

The former US vice president is currently criss-crossing the globe with his documentary “An Inconvenient Truth”, a hard-hitting rallying cry against global environmental catastrophe.

Criss-crossing the globe, eh?  I wonder how much jet fuel that’s burned up, all of it putting greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

I’ll bet he doesn’t fly commercial either.
