Al Gore: Cap And Trade Carbon Tax Is A Step Toward A World Government

Which critics of global warming alarmism such as myself have been saying is the goal of the environmentalists more so than any sort of rescue from a global warming apocalypse. This is why hypocrites such as Al Gore and Barack Obama can tell us to sacrifice in our personal lives for the sake of “global warming” even as they themselves live amidst a carbon footprint roughly the size of that emitted by a small town.

Former Vice President Al Gore declared that the Congressional climate bill will help bring about “global governance.”
“I bring you good news from the U.S., “Gore said on July 7, 2009 in Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment, sponsored by UK Times.
“Just two weeks ago, the House of Representatives passed the Waxman-Markey climate bill,” Gore said, noting it was “very much a step in the right direction.” President Obama has pushed for the passage of the bill in the Senate and attended a G8 summit this week where he agreed to attempt to keep the Earth’s temperatures from rising more than 2 degrees C.
Gore touted the Congressional climate bill, claiming it “will dramatically increase the prospects for success” in combating what he sees as the “crisis” of man-made global warming.
“But it is the awareness itself that will drive the change and one of the ways it will drive the change is through global governance and global agreements.” (Editor’s Note: Gore makes the “global governance” comment at the 1 min. 10 sec. mark in this UK Times video.)
Gore’s call for “global governance” echoes former French President Jacques Chirac’s call in 2000.

The goal for people like Al Gore isn’t really the reduction of greenhouse gases or the defense of the environment. Not really. The goal is more central government, and more government control over every aspect of our lives. Again, this is why some of the loudest global warming alarmists aren’t themselves, in their personal lives, behaving as if the emission of greenhouse gases were truly something to be alarmed about.
And those that do actually believe the “climate change” hype are little more than useful idiots for those who just want more power and more riches and more fame.

Of course it is! It destroys individual choice, and implements central planning, all in the name of something that doesn’t exist.

algore has live very well off of taxes and plans on doing so for the rest of his life!

fyi: I posted this story first yesterday – “The Carbon Tax Will Create A One-World Government.”

Taking it one step further, Goron is profitting and making lots of money off this global warming scam. http://newsbusters.org/node/11149

Former Vice President Al Gore has built a Green money-making machine capable of eventually generating billions of dollars for investors, including himself, but he set it up so that the average Joe can’t afford to play on Gore’s terms. And the US portion is headed up by a former Gore staffer and fund raiser who previously ran afoul of both the FEC and the DOJ, before Janet Reno jumped in and shut down an investigation during the Clinton years

Here’s hoping Al Gore stops exhaling CO2 very soon.

Gore is about crazy as they come. A total nut.

  • bill-tb

Shocked I tell, just shocked that liberals want to rule the world. Wasn’t the NAZIs the last to seriously try this eugenics super race run the world thing?

  • dawneyr

Duh! A step toward global government with population control alarmists at the helm(s) hiding their Mr. Hyde tendencies behind cuddly wuddly polar bear pictures. How comforting. They are full on promoting the “dangers” that bottled water poses to our planet because it’s really hard to convince a decent company to sneak sterilization-causing materials into their product. Coerced sterilization is the only kind of competition that the UN will allow and support.

You’re being way too nice, Goron is loved by the left for peddling this false science then is going to turn around and profit from it. The F’N idiot and I am glad he never was able to steal the 2000 election.

I do appreciate when they are honest. Unfortunately, Barack Obama, Nanci Pelosi, and Earl Pomeroy aren’t about to tell us what they really would like to do.

“Cap And Trade Carbon Tax Is A Step Toward A World Government”

I would make a slight correction to that title:
“Cap And Trade Carbon Tax Is ANOTHER Step Toward A World Government”

I say this b/c of the UN, WTO, EU, ICC, WHO, various “trade agreements” & etc.

bill-tb, Unfortunately it is NOT just liberals w/ the “one world govt” ‘bug’…count the RCC (although the RCC DOES HAVE liberal tendencies i.e. AMNESTY FOR INVADERS) (but do not forget that Ratzinger was employed by Hitler TWICE & is a former head of the office formerly titled “The Sacred Congregation of the Universal Inquisition” right before he was voted by men of the “College of Cardinals” which included disgraced “Cardinal” Law formerly of Boston) in there too, as well as, muzzies & a quite a few more grps.

“And those that do actually believe the “climate change” hype are little more than useful idiots for those who just want more power and more riches and more fame.”

    EXACTLY!

BTW/IMO, The USA needs to invest more in things like coal liquefaction/gasification to lessen our “dependence on foreign oil”.

    What total nonsense.

There is a difference between a Global Government and a system of management that can be shared through agreements and equal responses to the same problems.

This is why hypocrites such as Al Gore and Barack Obama can tell us to sacrifice in our personal lives for the sake of “global warming” even as they themselves live amidst a carbon footprint roughly the size of that emitted by a small town.

Dude, you are the young Archie Bunker, have a look, this is your future.

Instead we had two terms of the idiot fratboy with the results:

    1. Doubled national debt

    2. Deepest economic meltdown in a century

    3. $14 trillion in household wealth lost (bye bye 401ks and house values!)

    Good job, republicans!

  • Mark

And this man could have been president! This is his revenge for losing!

    What an unAmerican asshole!

  • mplsbob

    Dino, you are a retard.

Didn’t Al Gore claim he invented the internet? Oh, we should believe what that guy says!

  • Hannitized

Anybody who thinks Al Gore claimed he invented the internet is a moron, and ignorant of the facts to what real contributions Al Gore had in the development of the commercial internet.

“During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet” Gore said when asked to cite accomplishments that separate him from another Democratic presidential hopeful, former Sen. Bill Bradley of New Jersey, during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN on March 9, 1999.
Gore supported technological advances related to the advancement of the Internet, but to say that HE took the initiative in creating the Internet is a bit much.

During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.

This was true. We ask our politicians to run on their record and when they do we ridicule them.

There was a time when obama was honest about what he wats to do. But now that he has to appeal to a mainstream american audience he has to pretend otherwise.
