Al Gore Breaches Airport Security

No biggie though.  I’m sure he bought some national security offsets to make it all ok.

And while we’re on the subject of Al Gore, why isn’t anyone reporting on the fact that Gore stands to rake in big bucks financially if all his global warming hysteria is taken seriously?  I mean, if the CEO of Halliburton were to go on a speaking tour talking about the necessity for completing the mission in Iraq the left/media would go nuts regardless of whether he was right in his opinions or not.

But Al Gore, by dint of proselytizing left-wing eco-dogma, gets a pass on that sort of criticism.

Comments

Kind of like how Michael Moore preaches about the evils of capitalism and living in excess while jetting around in his own private jet and cashing speaking engagement fees of $30,000.

Brandon on March 2, 2007 at 10:56 am

This story has an ironic twist. When Clinton / Gore were in office, it was Bill Clinton who gave Al Gore the direct order to implement a plan for improved airport security nation wide. Considering how 911 unfolded with the terrorists penetrating air port security with ease, I guess Al didn’t do his job.

Bill Clinton who gave Al Gore the direct order to implement a plan for improved airport security nation wide.

Like the Chinese threat, after Gore made a speech noting the need for tougher airport security, large and frequent contributions to re-elect Clinton-Gore from the airlines made the “need” go away.

Good news article.  The ruling class should be subject to the same rules as the rest of us.

Of course Algore probably doesn’t know about all this since he often doesn’t fly commercial.

[W]hat you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

For the juicy details on the Gore Global Warming scam, go to the reader blogs.

The only legitimate role of government with regard to economics is to prevent fraud and provide a remedy- civil and criminal penalties- in case of fraud.

People have the mistaken notion that the free market has no rules.  But it most certainly does.  All our problems are due to government meddling.

I don’t think that Algore is a threat to hijack the airplane, but didn’t he commit a felony here?

What would happen to you or I if we did this?  Would we get a chance to go through security or would we be arrested?

So someone with a security card could route selected people around the security checking system?  It may have been harmless in this case, but it shows how easy it would be for a hostile to get into the secure area and on to a plane.  Is that possible?  That easy?

halatbis on March 2, 2007 at 01:42 pm

haltabis, that certainly is another confirmation of my theory that airport security isn’t about making us safe, it’s about making us feel safe.

And according to the story the lady that breached security didn’t even get fired.  She gets to attend the security class over.

Come-on this has to be a crime, most likely a felony.

Global warming has happened in the past and it will happen in the future, independent of anthropogenic causes.

There is no such thing as ‘anthropogenic causes.’ The coast of Greenland was farmed by Norwegian farmers in the tenth century and they farmed it until the end of the thirteenth century.  The earth began to cool some and they could no longer farm the land.

The amount of free CO2 in the atmosphere was at 295 ppm in 1895, the standard.  It is now close to 340 ppm.  Not much increase in over one hundred years and billions of barrels of oil later.

The northern area of Africa was denuded of flora and fauna during the Roman Empire.  The Romans wiped out all wildlife.  The Romans cut the forest all around the Mediterranean Sea for hundreds of years.  It didn’t change the climate that much, but did massive ecological damage.  Two different horses.

Al Gore is all wet with this global warming bunkum and bosh.

There is a sucker born every minute.

That includes ‘Republicans’ too.

Very smooth, very glib. Ronnie is being fed well written talking points. And the subtle divert from thread to thread, this troll will most likely end up working in advertising. Or being an Ambulance Chaser.

Mighty damn accurate measurements for 1895! You have any facts to back this us, or is this calculated from somebody’s model?

Here are a few quotes from the S.C. Department of Natural Resources Office of the State Climatology

To determine how the climate will respond to increases CO2 levels, climatologists use general circulation models (GCMs). GCMs express mathematically the large-scale dynamic and thermodynamic processes of the atmosphere and their associated feedbacks. While such models can’t replicate reality

Other uncertainties arise because we don’t fully understand the feedback mechanisms at work in the climate.

General circulation models also present problems when used to study climate impacts.

The current models suggest

Uncertainties, problems, suggestions, can’t replicate reality… man! we can take THAT to the bank!

Al Gore is a political hack.  So is Newt Gingrinch.  ‘Republicans,’ ‘Democrats,’ the average joe is being sold a bill of goods these days.  You can’t believe a single word politicians say anymore.

Oh, ok, here’s some data, man.

http://www.daviesand.com/Choices/Precautionary_Planning/New_Data/

All of the natural CO2 in the atmosphere was replaced by ‘new’ CO2 during the Industrial Revolution.

It keeps getting replaced time after time.

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere during the Carbiniferous Period was ten to twenty times higher than it is now.  Phenomenal growth of plants and trees during that time.

Lots of coal around the world is the proof.

All of the natural intelligence in the US was replaced by ‘new’ intelligence during the Industrial Revolution. Replaced by ‘no’ intelligence during the Clinton Administration.

There is no such thing as ‘scientific fact’ only scientific ‘certainties.’

I am certain that Proof has no proof.

My point of view is that it comes down to how delicate you believe the global climate system is and how important you think mankind is.

Mickey on March 2, 2007 at 07:23 pm

Having worked as a protocol officer, I would bet money that Gore didn’t ask for the treatment, but the underlings (his and the airport’s) coordinated this effort.  He probably thought that he was getting special, but legal, service because of his VIP status (as much as it pains me to admit that he is a VIP).  As the story said, the airport had established a legal expidite, it was just not where the female worker took them.  It’s normal for government officials to be pushed to the front of airports.

Lets bash Gore on something more worthy… like everything else in his life.

“Hope is not a method.” - Common Military Saying

The above is a statement of pro activity.  If any Soldier were to tell me that he hoped what he was briefing was going to come to fruition, that would be unacceptable.  We in the Army do not have the luxury to ‘hope’ that things will end well.  Hope will get us killed.  Instead, we must plan and take action.  Hope is not a method.

As a leader I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper training.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper logistical supplies.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers will survive the next mission.  Hope is not a method; I live in the real world.

Paulie, Algore is only a VIP in his own mind. Being a former Vice President and $5 will get him a latte. He was a major player in Airport Security during the last years of his term and knows damn well he can not bypass security. He should have put a stop to it. His Secret Service detail damn well should have put a stop to it, they know damn better than anyone what the federal law is regarding airport security. This is another indication of the leftards idea that they are superior to all us peons and we should remain silent, kneeling in worship, as they walk past.

Over time, Al Gore won’t be able to live with his hypocrisy.

Air Force One needs 47 000 gallons of fuel to fill ‘er up.

Cheer up things could be worse.  So I cheered up and sure enough, things got worse.

So your point is that there is an office somewhere to run VIP’s through the security somewhere private?  Algore may have thought that he was following the law?

OK, I maybe buy that, you have to have intent to break the law IMO.

On the other hand, someone broke the law here didn’t they?
