I’m out of town for the weekend, so tonight’s edition of the Say Anything Show will be broadcast by former Senate candidate Dwight Grotberg. You can watch/listen live by clicking below. As always, you can call in at 888-598-8464.

    A fresh voice! Too often when we hear the names Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, many ears are closed. Now we’ve been able to hear from a new name: Grotberg. Having him sit in on the program gave opportunity to listen to a new conservative voice that is rallying the movement; and rally is what the conservatives need.

    It seems that there is no longer a measured, pleasant, united voice. Listening to Dwight during his time on the program gave this conservative encouragement that there is still that force that wants to unite and stand for conservative values, principles. He was presenting the position in such a lucid way rather than the defensive way that we hear. What do the conservatives have to defend? The first amendment applies to all Americans not just those we agree with. It’s time to stop apologizing for our positions. Do liberals apologize for theirs? We are who we are and I am proud of it. It was obvious that Dwight Grotberg is as well.

    Thank you for that voice Dwight. Thank you for the opportunity to comment. I look forward to more progams hosted by him.

    The country is definitely ready for a thoughful conservative who doesn’t throw bombs to elicit reactions and meaningless arguments. I will paraphrase Richard Dryfus, the actor, who said “Sound bites are destroying America”. Why? Because they are directed at our most frivolous, top-layer of emotions. They assume and accuse at the same time, almost eliminating any possibility of discussing the issues with honesty and deference.

    I appreciate Dwight Grotberg because he represents the kind of conservative who can dialogue with opposing views while respecting the dignity and humanity of those he is in conversation with. He truly wants to know what is behind opposing view points and how people come to their opinions. And he encourages healthy debate. He is not about cheap “sound bites” that can be used to enrage or embarrass or accuse. If a politician or individual has to throw bombs to win an argument or a political race, then that is a hollow victory, indeed. I appreciate Dwight’s leadership and look forward to hearing more from him.
