Air Force Personnel Involved With Nuke Mishap In Minot Being Murdered?

That’s what some group called Citizens for Legitimate Government is claiming:

Since the Minot story broke a week ago about the missing nukeclandestine operation from Minot, we have the following (for those who are paying attention):

1. All six people listed below are from Minot Airforce base
2. All were directly involved as loaders or as pilots
3. All are now dead
4. All within the last 7 days in ‘accidents’

A reader who knows I’m actually from Minot emailed me this and, since this is right in my backyard, it made me sit up and take notice.  As evidence of the conspiracy, the Citizens for Legit Government cite six news stories.  The problem is that those stories don’t support their conclusions at all.

Keep in mind, as I go along, that the mishap happened some time the week before September 5th.

First up is this news story about Airman Todd Blue who died on September 10th while on leave in Virginia.  The story doesn’t indicate how Blue died, or even if he was actually involved in the nuke mishap.  It does say he was a “response force member” in the 5th Security Forces Squadron.

Second is this article from The Shreveport Times about an unnamed couple from the Barksdale Airforce Base dying in a traffic accident while riding their Harley.  Their connection, I guess, is that the plane with the nukes on it went from Minot to Louisiana.  There is no indication here, however, what the couple does on the Barksdale base.  How the folks at Citizes for Legit. Government can use this as proof is beyond me.

The third story is from the KXMC website (my hometown television station and a website where I’m syndicated, just throwing that out there for full disclosure) and is about Airman Blue again.  No mention of whether or not Blue had anything to do with the nuke mishap.

The fourth story is again from KXMC and is about an Airman named Adam Barrs who was killed in a vehicle accident on the outskirts of Minot.  The problem is that this Airman was killed in July, months before the Nuke mishap which occurred around the end of August or beginning of September.  Unless we’re going to also claim that the Air Force has the ability to see the future, I doubt Barrs was bumped off because of his involvement in the blunder with the nukes.

The fifth story is from the Bismarck Tribune and is about 1st Lt. Weston Kissel who was a bomber pilot at Minot Air Force Base.  Again, however, the problem is that Lt. Kissel died in July.  The nuke mishap took place in August or September.

The last story is about a Captain John Frueh who was stationed in Florida and was actually on leave in the Oregon/Washington area attending a friend’s wedding (he last spoke to his family on August 30th) when the nuke mishap in North Dakota.  The dates are close, but Frueh could have conceivably been on some top-secret mission he couldn’t tell his family about, but that seems doubtful.  As one who knows many people from the Minot Air Force Base who have worked with the nukes, it’s secret stuff...but not that secret.

This is what we have to sum up:

  1. Two Air Force members who died shortly after the nuke mishap, one from Minot and one from Louisiana.  One died in Louisiana, one died on leave in Virginia.
  2. Two Air Force members who died before the accident, thus making it unlikely that they were killed in any sort of a cover-up conspiracy.
  3. One Air Force member stationed in Florida disappeared in Washington/Oregon around the same time as the nuke mishap.  His connection to the mishap is unknown.

Now compare those facts to what the Citizens for Legit. Government are claiming.  There were five people in their articles, not six.  Not all of them were from the Minot Air Force Base.  Nothing in the articles substantiates that any of them were directly involved with the nukes in question (outside of two of them being stationed at bases which were involved).  And while all five (again, not six) are dead, two of them died before the mishap even happened and one went missing around the same time it happened in an area 1,000 or so miles away from where it happened.

To say that these charges are patently bogus is an understatement.  Still, it’s amazing what people will believe when they see stuff like this on the internet.

Very good debunking, Rob. This sort of thing is, of course, not new. There has been much made of a list of people who supposedly died “mysteriously” who were associated in one way or another, generally loosely, with the Kennedy assassination.

Jim on September 20, 2007 at 02:23 pm

I thought me and Toot smacked this guy during the weekend, might have been Proof. This was dropped into one of the threads on this. Or was there just one. He came on with the Govmint Coverup Murder Spree and linked those articles. We quickly deduced it was highly improbable and moved on.

Airman Blue is listed as being in security, so at best, he was guarding flightline during loading or the hot storage bay where ordinance would be held and prepped for loading. The others I can see no connection at all.

Geeze. Just another one of those harmless little “nuke mishaps” like Minot wouldn’t be vaporized, Lake of the Woods contaminated, and Minneapolis evacuated for the foreseeable future.

This was not a “nuke mishap”. The chain of command, checks, and documentation required to move a nuclear weapon makes it fail safe. Everyone knows, who should know, when a nuke is being removed from its bunker all the way up through the Secret Service and Cheney.

Not to mention that the weapons are very visibly marked on the outside. This is how whoever leaked this to the press from Barksdale, a Middle East staging area, knew that they had arrived.

It is amazing, considering the possibilities, that the public seems to accept that anything can be done accidentally with a nuclear weapon. Why this did not create 100 times the uproar that Craig’s foot tapping or Moveon’s ad did is astonishing.

I’m not accepting the mistake.  I’m discounting the conspiracy theory about an alleged cover-up.

There’s no excuse for mishandling a nuclear weapon.  But there’s no excuse for misguided, unfounded allegations against the military either.

There is a much longer list of people that died, some mysteriously, that were associated with the Clintons in some way but there is no conspiracy theories from the left on these occurences.

Exactly.  This mistake(as if any human endeavor is free of mistakes) is being used as an excuse for anti-American, anti-military propaganda.

I think Rob is right.

I think ews48 is right.

I’d say lets chase down the leads—call the 6 (or was it 5) victims mothers, brothers, friends and see what they know.

But then, either they don’t know nothing, or… they know that their phones are tapped…

Not that I’ll give CFLG any creedence whatsoever—but I will claim the movie rights to the conspiracy theory.  Now.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Please research, don’t erronomous stigmatise the whole subject on minor errors.

If the 6th ‘death’ was only severely wounded, who’s manpulating here by abusing a more trivial issue as a mean to break down the whole concept.

Is that supposed to be investigative journalism, or sick ‘professional’ characters garbaging on more amateurs/volunteers?

How was the 2nd mistake made that only 5 nukes were discovered according to the initial reports?
Was this a media error and how?
Or was the 6th replaced to another location?
Or is it still missing?

Please get to work, thanks!

Anyway, as you can see, most articles are gathered here:

Minot AFB: deaths around illegal nuke flight
http://pim-fortuyn.nl/pfforum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=161

More important is to get clear answers on the questions that still remain and the article overhere didn’t have answers on either, like:

* if any of the death (Minot/Barksdale) AF people could have been involved in any way with the nuke transport;

* what made the difference between the initially 5 nukes and 6?;

* isn’t it very unlikely/impossibly that nukes can be erronomous loaded on a B52? (accidently at the time plans are made for nuclear bunker busters for Iran, a.s.o.);

* who brought the initial erronomous news about related death AF people and why; were these mistakes, or deliberate cyber warfare in masking something?

Not since last century’s German Nazi and Japanese Empire’s has the World seen such naked aggression towards the capture of the Earth’s resources, and which caused the deaths of nearly 100 million people, but which the United States and its Western Allies now seem determined to see through to its brutal, and bloody end.

Once again we are compared with Nazis and other ‘naked’ aggressors whatever that is [always thought aggressors wore clothes].  You’re right, 2H.  Very melodramatic.  Ms Sorcha would fit in well in Hollywood too.

Indeed; Sourcha Faal had some bizar articles in the past, mixing facts with some (military) “sources” no-one was able to check. So would Russia and China attack the USA if they dared to attack Iran.
Sourcha Faal might even be a code for False Source… A sort of psychological cyber warfare.

Not only Russia has this, the USA also has cyber warfare and crowd control techniques.

Another seemingly ridiculous article was that the 6 nuke were loaded on the B52, because of the “Chinese” hacker attack.

I would consider these issues as noise, distracting from the real issue: 6 nukes were illegal armed on a B52 and ‘missing’(not supervised) for over a day; 5 were initially reported what *could* mean that at that time still one was missing; deaths from Minot and Barksdale AFB that *could* be related.

Even possible reasonable conspiracy theories are distracting, like that the 6th (double missing) nuke was ment for a false flag 911-2B to start the (nuclear) war with Iran with, apply martial law, etc.

Ofcourse, the Admin thinking is/was to use nuclear bunker busters for the heaviest bunkers, at least in the military planning of attacking Iran (there are good sources stating that, however never published in the mainstream news).

And also it could be an operation to frighten Iran, as this week was ment to force Iran into the required negotiations.

If that doesn’t work, they just could withdraw all the troops and navy and do nothing. Or have a false flag ‘911-2B’ in a lter stage. For example around or after 10-15 October, when the martial law exercise is held in the USA. But troops have to be withdrawn more and more in some months. So there will be an escalation before real amounts are withdrewn, or they’ll just leave.

Mark Metzelaar on September 24, 2007 at 07:53 am

So there will be an escalation before real amounts are withdrewn, or they’ll just leave.

I predict that if we leave now, irrespective of who is president, we’ll be back in 2009 after one of our cities goes up in a nucleor cloud (or) we’ll abandon our freedoms and capitulate to Islamic law.  Never has the future possiblities been so obvious.

See reaction 4:

B-52 Nukes Were Headed for Iran:
Air Force refused to fly weapons to Middle East theater

=======

Resuming: The story of subsequent errors that made 6 nukes illegally armed on a B52 for the first time since 1967, is very unlikely. And that at the hight of the Iran war plans, which include nuclear bunker busters for the heaviest bunkers.

A few articles:
US plans strike to topple Iran regime - report
http://www.guardian.co.uk/iran/story/0,,1750678,00.html
“...In the New Yorker magazine, Seymour Hersh, America’s best known investigative journalist, concluded that the Bush administration is even considering the use of a tactical nuclear weapon against deep Iranian bunkers, but that top generals in the Pentagon are attempting to take that option off the table....”
The Iran Plans
http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2006/04/17/060417fa_fact

From the former reply/article:
“… PROJECT CHECKMATE was leaked in an article by military analyst Eric Margolis in the Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper, the /Times of London/, is a program that involves over two dozen Air Force officers and is headed by Brig. Gen. Lawrence Stutzriem and his chief civilian adviser, Dr. Lani Kass, a former Israeli military intelligence officer who, astoundingly, is now involved in planning a joint U.S.-Israeli massive military attack on Iran that involves a “decapitating” blow on Iran by hitting between three to four thousand targets in the country. Stutzriem and Kass report directly to the Air Force Chief of Staff, General Michael Moseley, who has also been charged with preparing a report on the B-52/nuclear weapons incident.
Kass’ area of speciality is cyber-warfare, which includes ensuring “information blockades,” such as that imposed by the Israeli government on the Israeli media regarding the Syrian air attack on the alleged Syrian “nuclear installation. ...”

Cyber Command:
USA Central Cyber Command is now in Barksdale AFB, where the B52 nuke plane landed:
http://www.google.com/search?q=cyber+command+barksdale

=> The deaths around the nuke flight could be a distraction from the real issue; by hoaxing and stigmatising the whole subject. Some professional investigators / ‘conspiracy theorists’ -like above writer Wayne Madson and Alex Jones- haven’t published anything yet about those death airmen. From a patriot group I’ve got this message: “Alex Jones sais (on his radio station) he checked it out, and discovered much of the story was bogus. + I bet it’s a media psy op from the bad guys.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_operations
“… The purpose of United States psychological operations (PSYOP) is to induce or reinforce attitudes and behaviours favourable to U.S. objectives. ...”
(& many associated groups can play these games)

However, next to a psyop related action, this could be an accidental erronomous reporting by amateurs too. Anyway; for msure is that it distracts from the real issue of the nuke flight.

Mark Metzelaar on September 29, 2007 at 11:55 am

The real story here, unsexy and unfortunate. Govt proceedure, red tape, and safety loopholes making it difficult to catch a mistake if one or two people choose not to do a job correctly. We need paperwork and proceedure to protect ourselves from making a mistake, but, at some point, there is so much of it, and so much demanded of the airmen to do...well, it becomes tedious and counterproductive. They can’t complete thier jobs step by step, complete thier paper work, and do it in a timely fashion. People pencil whip thier work at times. It only takes a couple of folks not doing thier job. Then the weapons pass on to the next step. The loaders have no way of telling if the weapons contain live warheads.(they have to trust) No WAY THAT THEY ARE ALLOWED TO USE. Maybe now that the mistake has been made that will change. And (may i speculate that) 18 year olds, even 21 year olds, do not always fully appreciate the gravity of thier work...what they are handling. The military often works on the philosophy you don’t have to know how to build a clock to tell time....I wonder how many less educated folks even knew about the treaty they broke.

my bell on October 5, 2007 at 07:33 am

The loaders have no way of telling if the weapons contain live warheads.

I’ll confirm that.  I had a conversation with a retired military member who was involved in the chain of custody of nuclear weapons.  He told me the same thing.
