Ah, Justice

Here Come de judge:

(AP) MILWAUKEE A judge admonished a congresswoman's son and three other Democratic campaign workers for interfering with voters' civil rights as he sentenced them to jail Wednesday for puncturing the tires of some Republican vans on Election Day 2004.

Judge Michael B. Brennan exceeded the recommendation of prosecutors in sentencing the four men to jail time ranging from four to six months for misdemeanor property damage.

"Voter suppression has no place in our country," Brennan told the defendants in Milwaukee County Circuit Court. "Your crime took away that right to vote for some citizens."

The Republican Party wanted to use the vans to transport voters to the polls during the presidential election.

The men, including the son of U.S Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Milwaukee, had pleaded no contest in January to misdemeanor property damage in a plea agreement with prosecutors who recommended no jail time.

I can’t wait to see if Brennan’s name turns up on the short list when next there’s an opening on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Do the crime pay the fine, just ask James Tobin, Jim Ellis and Allen Raymond.

These guys only did that act to keep others from excercising their constitutional right.

There was no mistake on what they did or why they did it.

I thought that denying people their rights was a more serious crime than that.

Apparently, the judge took a more serious vieew of it than did the prosecutor.  Kudos to the judge!

Honestly, so did I. Chuck McGee only got 7 months, Allen Raymond got 5 reduced to 3 and Tobin could get 5 years but the prosecutors have said he will get (they are asking?) for nowhere near that amount of time.
Sometimes crime does pay, just ask Mr. Blackwell.

Yet Bush took away the voting rights of thousands, if not millions of Floridians in 2000, and he’s still walking free.

What would we ask him? And who is Blackwell? It is a common name after all, so I have to ask.

Feel the love, folks.

Maybe someone will pull up the story on Bush’s youthful misadventures so we can get a little equal time for the leftie commie lib folks as well, eh?

Or how about the Bush twins on a drinking binge?  LOL

So,Dhimi diane, you approve of slashing tires in order to prevent people from exercising their right to vote? Does that include all of us, or just you leftists?

How is this a "non-story"? A Congresswoman’s SON was involved in slashing tires of Republican vans. You’re not actually saying that slashing the tires of someone else’s ride falls under taking the opposite viewpoint, are you? Because that would just be disgusting diane.

You’re shaping up to be the biggest and most egregious partisan here diane. You’re everything you claim to hate.

Once again the GOP took the high ground. They released a statement that they were satisfied with the court decision on these three vandals.

No GOP representative complained that the sentences were too light.

The local DNC office refused to answer any calls for comment. No surprise considering one of these punks is the son of a Milwaukee DNC chair person.

Let’s not forget that it is the local DNC in Milwaukee that have been busted for voter fraud many times now. Issues like paying indigents with bribes of alcohol and tobacco in exchange for votes is common in  Milwaukee Democrap politics. In the last Governors race in Wisconsin there were over 2000  registered votes for democrats who all had the same address..it was an empty parking lot in Milwaukee.

The local  DNC in Milwaukee is the true culture of corruption, much like their national counterpart

Actually, a much bigger story is that protestors to President Bush at Indian Wells here in So. California were photographed by the local Sheriff’s Department who claimed the Secret Service asked them to do it.  The SS (appropriate) denied ever doing such a thing.  So, who’s telling the truth?  And why were they taking photos and posing to be protestors themselves?  I don’t like the way this country is going, thanks to the NeoCONS.  Much bigger story than a kid slashing tires.

So? No one can take pictures of anyone else? If they are not breaking the law, there is no problem with their picture being taken. AP and UPI and FOX and BBC and IRNA do it all the time. They should be proud and happy:the man" is taking their picture. It proves they are big time protestors. They should be getting copies for their mothers, if they know who they are.
