After One Month On The Job, Obama Is Less Popular Than Bush

No joke. Here’s the latest poll numbers from Gallup:

For the first time since Gallup began tracking Barack Obama’s presidential job approval rating on Jan. 21, fewer than 60% of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president. In Feb. 21-23 polling, 59% of Americans give Obama a positive review, while 25% say they disapprove, and 16% have no opinion.

According to Newsbusters:

Almost exactly eight years ago, then newly-elected President Bush’s numbers were 62 percent approving his performance, 21 percent disapproving, and 17 percent having no opinion

So it turns out that, far from being some fantastic political demi-god descended upon this country to ease our pain, pay our mortgages and fill our gas tanks (and enjoy near-consensus approval ratings along the way) Obama is pretty much like any other just-elected President.

Ill bet he finishes higher than … what was it, 21%?

I’d be willing to take that bet if he didn’t have so many media lips attached to his ass. They will prop him up all the way to the end. Exactly the reverse of what they did to Bush.

You are 100% correct G. Now what are the chances Dorkan or Cuntrad can be rousted?

Dorgan is the only one up in 2010, and he is raising money like mad in preparation for what could be a tough challenge if a decent conservative opponent runs against him. I think Conrad will be much easier to get rid of.

Well, there you go. Our instant gratification society has had its gluttony filled with hope and change and it’s back to finding a new stimulus…

  • kendrabanks

There is so much expectation for him to deliver. How he will resolve all of the major problems – troops abroad, financial crisis, huge deficit. A really long road ahead for Obama. Obvious voters are pretty impatient, they want solutions now. Amazingly his popularity will probably decrease further before America turns the corner.

Can’t wait for the 2010 elections!

lets just hope that we have better choices and that we’re still holding elections then.

Getting rid of Dorkan would be too good to be true. I’m sure ACORN is going to help him. ND needs to find a good conservative to oppose him and they would have a good chance to defeat him. Now they just need someone to step up!

And we’re going to experience LOTS of pain.

Thanks to our current POTUS and Democrat controlled Congress! This may be the first sensible thing you’ve said since you’ve gotten here, Dino!

It shouldn’t be to tough to top McCain.
When all else fails, vote from the roof tops.

I could see the dems losing a few seats. All of these dems in conservative districts should be running scared because a fair number of them are going to get voted out of office.

not to mention the whole “i’ll trade you a beaver pelt for a new pair of moccasins” economic system we’re rapidly approaching.

Obamas so-called state of the union speech was just another campaign speech with little or no real substance. This is really all he can do since he has no management skills and the doofuses he has sppointed for his cabinet and admin will not provide much help either. Hang on to your pants, things are going to get worse and worse as his term drags on.

I perdict there will be a rebellion of sorts against this vile Obama rule but I don’t know if it will be bloody. That may depend on how much support he gets from the military and federal law enforcement agencies. Americans have killed Americans before e.g. civil war and it could happen again. I wouldn’t worry too much about the lefty rabble like dino. I doubt that they know which way to point a gun.

hey, i just came up with another positive- that transaction can’t be taxed!

He’ll find a way though… The government would have to take a portion of the skin, lol.

republicans will lucky to be on the right side of barbed wire fencing for what they’ve done to the country.

LOL, you rump ranging idiot. Tell us all about your skill with weapons and how you are going to use them to round us up, you Beria wannabe. Your STD’s must have ate up your brain. The only thing you could put on the “right side of the wire” is a little boy, NAMBLA freak.

  • thejackle

So dino (idiot also) wants class warfare, well now idiot you will find that it’ll be the citizens verses the government, not the rich vs. the poor (which the left has always seemed to want until now).

Shit, by 2010 republicans will lucky to be on the right side of barbed wire fencing for what they’ve done to the country.

Watch and learn as democrats start torching them when things get tough.

Thanks for the pep talk, Joseph Stalin.

Obama gave a preview when he mentioned at the beginning of his speech how the surplus was used to give tax cuts to the rich when bush took office.

Class warfare can catch fire QUICK when people are in pain. And we’re going to experience LOTS of pain.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Stocks fell on Wednesday on disappointment President Barack Obama provided few new clues about how his administration would shore up the economy in a major speech before Congress.

    Ya think?

The perception of the public is true. We don’t believe Obama.
You can not “talk” people out of their position. We need proof.
Rhetoric will get you elected, actions will get you re-elected.
Capital can not come from thin air and neither will real positive change.
