LONDON (Reuters) – A mother who smothered to death her three-year-old son because she saw him as an “inconvenience” to her social life, was jailed for life on Monday.
Just hours after Tara Haigh, 24, killed her young son Billy at her home in November 2005 she went on the Internet looking for a boyfriend, the Old Bailey heard.
“There is some evidence he had a temper tantrum and his life was cruelly taken from him by your actions driven out of exasperation and frustration,” judge Peter Thornton said, adding her exact motives were a mystery.

Why should we be surprised? We already allow mothers to kill their children because they’re inconvenient while they’re still in the womb. So what’s the difference between that and killing the kids because they’re inconvenient a few years later?
It’s the same life. It’s the same continuum of growth and development. Saying that a child at three years past conception is alive while a child two months past conception is not is absurd.
This is where abortion culture has brought us. And I fear that it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

I think that you and your leftist friends don’t give a flip about abortion/infanticide; probably should include euthanasia in that list. 50,000,000 infants have been aborted since Roe v Wade and you are more concerned about the deaths of our soldiers and the Iraqis. Killing for convenience is still murder however you want to spin it. Enjoy it while you can because there will be an end to it some day.

The culture of death has been firmly established since abortion was made legal in 1973. When children became a “choice”, once the child exists, there is only one way to support that choice, death to the child.

Wars and murder have existed since the beginning of time. War is seen as a necessary evil to gain peace, murder has always been a crime. Abortion has also been around for centuries, but it is only in our lifetime that it has been granted approval by the populace. That callousness toward the gift of life is spreading from the unborn to the already born.

Why should we be surprised? We already allow mothers to kill their children because they’re inconvenient while they’re still in the womb. So what’s the difference between that and killing the kids because they’re inconvenient a few years later?

Good point Rob. And why should we be surprised when people kill each other with guns? We already teach people it is ok to kill your enemies with arms and firepower when you think they did something they actually didn’t do. So why not just kill them.

With your logic, why not blame a lot of innocent shooting deaths off the lessons we lear from the Iraq war?

Hairy the connection was the inconvenience of a child to a woman’s social life. The same is often the case with abortion.
Life has diminished to what we can scientifically argue — not prove. Abortion, Euthanasia, Infanticide, reflect the diminished respect and value of all human life. The law has failed to protect the victims of this “enlightened” perspective and society is suffering the consequences.

Abortion is often confused as contraception. I know women who have had multiple abortions who use it as “birth control.” The abortion movement is at the fore front of the culture of death. As for this pathetic woman who killed her 3 year old, it is NOT Unrealistic to believe she has been Influenced by this creepy Death Culture that has been adopted. The idea that the elderly, handicapped, babies still in the womb, and even botched aborted babies shouldn’t be protected is oozing into our society. This woman killing her 3 year old is just another symptom of the Death Culture and what consequences we all will see from it.

Abortion has become nothing more than a form of birth control. It enables young women and men to act out as complete and utter careless sluts. Women know that if they get pregnant after having random unprotected sex its not the end of the world because the choice to kill or not kill is theirs and theirs alone. Why we allow woman to play the role of God in society is beyond me. Oh what because its their body? Well if you really respected your body you would practice safe and responsible sex and not whore yourself out to whoever shows you the most attention that day. I am not driven by religious ideals either. I am an agnostic. I just believe in a society that rewards hard work and responsibility, not one that enables laziness and discustingly inhumane behavior.

Leave to an ignorant liberal to compare the liberation of Iraqis from under the cruel boot of Saddam Hussein to murdering a three year old.

For the record, Hannitized, far fewer Iraqis died during the war than would have died under Hussein’s rule if he’d continued to murder his own people according to historical trends. Even account for war deaths, Iraq was a net gain in life.

Not that things like “fact” and “logic” matter much to you.
