ABC Tries To Manufacturing Gay Bashing Moment At Sports Bar

And despite planting a obnoxiously flamboyant pair of homosexuals in the bar to try and bait the customers, along with a pretend-homophobe there to heckle them in the hope that some of the other patrons would join in, not much actually happens.

[This is] the latest episode in an endless series of media stunts involving minorities plopped down in unlikely surroundings — Muslims at a NASCAR event, gays at a sports bar — in order to demonstrate the horrible intolerance of mainstream American culture. It almost never works, but darned if they don’t keep trying.

What’s stupid is that…this isn’t really news. This isn’t journalism, this is Jerry Springer. This is getting a bunch of play-acting idiots together to try and spark a reaction out of the audience. It it proved anything, it would be that people tend to react with irritation and anger when provoked.
If you put an obnoxiously overbearing Christian or atheist or Republican or Democrat or Yankees fan in the same situation you’d probably get irritation and anger. Not so much because of who the person is or what they’re saying, but rather because people are generally irritated by loutish behavior.
Taken to the extreme, this is like staging a murder so that the crime beat reporters have something to cover. And the presumptions about mainstream American attitudes among big media types it illustrates are, frankly, disgusting.

    ive told people of all ages and both sexes to shut the fuck before. it doesnt mean i hate both sexes and people of all ages. it means i hate loud, obnoxious people.

    if these queers, fags, homos, pole smokers or whatever the pc name for them is, would have just shut the fuck up, nobody would have noticed them. abc needs to do this with two faggots in a corner keeping to themselves and we’d see nobody cares. then put two loud girls at the bar and we will see that everyone wants them to shut the fuck up. of course…. that wouldnt be a good story would it?

    I’d like to see ABC put a devout Mormon in the middle of some big time liberal gathering (like Obama’s Nomination Convention) and they’d probably see some REAL sparks fly…. but that would only serve to show how intolerant and hateful LIBERALS are, which is not what ABC cares to portray…

    If I thought I might survive I would volunteer. Being able to see the intolerance on the left I don’t thing I want to volunteer to be drawn and quatered, burned, spit upon, kicked, punched, and whatever else their small minds can come up with.

    Pretty sure I would have left after a few minutes of that scene. Definately nothing I care to look at. They have the right to be there and do their thing. I have the right to choose different scenery. Besides being morally wrong, homosexuality, when it’s in you face like this, just sickens me. Always has. There is nothing beautiful, natural, or interesting about it as far as I’m concerened.

    I’d be more interested in having reporters openly hanging out in a neighborhood bar. Them I’d enjoy and could count on seeing taking a whupping from common neighborhood folks tired of their elitist crap.
