ABC Confuses Mitch McConnell With Harry Reid

Whoops:

image

That, of course, isn’t Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid at all but rather his Republican counterpart Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

That’s alright, ABC.  All white Senators look alike.

And that’s not racist to say, because we’re talking about white people.  If I’d said that all black Senators look alike, we’d have a problem.

I think you’d be correct.

There have been other black Senators in our nation’s history, Poodle.  Do you need me to list them, or do you think you can find them on your own?

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

Rob is so insightful.  If it wasn’t for him, I would think only white people were sensitive to racism.  Good thing he is around to straighten us out!

Thanks Rob.

Slow Down This Ain’t the Mainland.

The infamous bumper sticker apparently does not apply to driving! I can’t tell you how many times someone has passed me on the road and I see they have one of these stickers. So I am left to assume they mean slow down in other areas.

Slow down and don’t work so hard you are making me look bad.

Slow down I don’t have a grasp on the English language and I can’t understand you.

Slow down your eating or their won’t be enough food for me to shovel in my mouth.

Slow down I’m only wearing slippers and I can’t move that fast.

Regardless of what it really means - this sure isn’t the mainland! Nowhere on the mainland would they treat you like garbage because you just moved there. I think its very sad that such a beautiful place is filled with so many ugly people. You give racism a whole new twist.

That’s the ABC news that one poster here used as a great source of information.  Like I said, these old TV and newspapers are biased, corrupt and unprofessional.
They lost their professionalism sometime around the mid 1960s.  Bernard Goldberg’s book, Arrogance describes the decline starting in the early 1970s.

Hannitized.  Do you live in Hawai’i?  I enjoyed a week or two there. Stayed in Wai’anae instead on that tourist trap.  Visited a middle school there.  Noted the haoule thing, and understand.  Read To Steal a Kingdom. Good read.
Picked it up at the flea marked at the “bowl”.

Hey Chief,

Wai’anae eh?  I used to live in Makaha, Wai’anae is no joke.  It does feel more like the Hawaii we used to know.  You fit in if you are mellow and aren’t confrontational, don’t you think?  As far as development, things are changing, fast.

I live in Makiki because I don’t wan’t to commute to downtown everyday, and I like going out at night and not driving back late.

A 18 yr. old marine just bought a new Porsche and it caught fire the second day he owned it and it burned in the Pali tunnel, shutting it down.

I’ll look for that book and read that link.  The haoule thing is played out and not many people refer to that unless they are differentiating a white person, like they do the Portague’.

Hannitized.  I recommend that book.  It is a factual, exhaustive history from the beginning, and I do mean beginning!  Wow.  How would you like paddling back in the 1500s with no compass for weeks on end in search of?
I even attended a meeting with locals and others on the Makua range.
Yes, life there was very laid back.  Swim suits and T-shirts every day.  Even the Air National Guard had lax fridays and wore shorts&Ts instead of uniforms!

Ha.  No thank you.  I don’t even enjoy paddling for very long for fun, let alone competitively or for purposes of navigating islands.  Crazy.

What kind of meetings at Makua?  You know they are getting ready for the DLNR to make swimming with the dolphins there restricted.  It’s because too many people are getting too close.

It’s Aloha Friday Chief...but im still in shoes. wink

Hannitized.  It was a meeting on the status of allowing the Makua range to be used.  The meeting lasted about 3 hours and began with a ceremony with rocks and those ? leaves? poi I can’t remember, but the audience was adult and civil.
An excellent discussion covered burial grounds, the JAPS attack on Pearl, a strong Army, pollution, etc.  The audience was pretty well evenly divided.  Democracy in action.  I did get used to “Hawai’i an time, but was not ready to retire just yet.  A good alternative life style that was not destructive.  A still have a hand made polaka shirt my wife hates!
