A Thought On The Questioning Of Timing
Liberals question Bush's timing a lot. Whenever there is a major announcement in the war on terror (like the capture of a major terror figure or the elevation of the terror alert level, etc.) there inevitably comes questions about the timing. It usually goes something like this:
This is called "wagging the dog," and I posted about it earlier today. Sort of.
Anyway, here's my thought on all these accusations of dog wagging: For a President that is perpetually in the midst of one controversy or another (from Plame to troop armor, pre-war intelligence to NSA intelligence gathering) is there ever a time when he can announce something and not have it making headlines opposite the scandal du jour?
Bush just announced "x" today because he wants to draw attention away from "y".
