Honestly, I do a nice thing by making a corner of my blog available for you guys to post and you whine because I’m posting what I want to.

While we do appreciate your generosity, Rob, we’re not “whining” about anything; we’re just pointing out that you often post what we post, but you put your name on it. If that’s your policy, then be honest about it. Since you have started “promoting” some reader posts to the front page, you have been inconsistent with your own policy, that’s all.
I would appreciate at least a “hat tip” when you use one of my posts.
I know you have personal animus toward me, so I never expected that you would “promote” any of my posts to the front page under my name; you have done so a few times, and I appreciate that; it must make you grind your teeth to do so.
I just ask for equal consideration as to subject, while leaving the emotional baggage out of the matter.

Rob’s walked on my posts before, not because he’s rude, but he hadn’t yet read my post. As I said in another thread a week or so ago, if you’re find a story you like, you post on it right away without checking on what anyone has done before.

If we like your post we promote it. It’s easier than writing our own.

That is if we’ve read it. I usually catch up by the end of the day, but I don’t read readers blogs as they come in.

Really there’s nothing wrong with it, and if you just wanted to point out that you covered it to and had a different take nobody would get upset with it.

Thinking that we’re stealing your stuff is stupid.

In my case today I acknowledged Robert’s post as I had seen the title. However I got the story from Instapundit and had my own stuff to say.

I’m not duplicating your post. I’m posting on the same topic. A distinction without a difference.

I wouldn’t duplicate your posts, because your posts normally aren’t very good. You usually have a massive blockquote and then like three sentences, usually about “lefty liars” or something. Another false characterization, as I post some articles that are entirely my own writing, and I don’t use “leftie liars” except when it applies.
I have already asked you to give your rules for posting, since what you told me when you started the Reader Blogs, obviously no longer applies, or at least it doesn’t apply to me. So far, no answer from you on your rules.

I’ve promoted a few of your posts that were ok, but for the most part I’d be embarrassed to elevate most of your posts to the front page. Gratuitous and self-serving smear. You use your power to express your dislike of me due to our disagreement on specific issues, and because I have called you out on your refusal to debate those issues.

OK, on topic; YES, it is very interesting that when the far left generates dozens of arrests and thousands of dollars worth of damage (and often injuries), they get little press, but when the right has hundreds of thousands of people coming together without the need for even a janitor to clean things up, the press more or less acts like it was another Nuremberg rally.
