A Primer on How Socialists View Your Money

It’s theirs.

“It would be nice if we could keep every tax break, but we can’t afford them,” Obama said. “Because if we choose to keep those tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, or for hedge fund managers and corporate jet owners, or for oil and gas companies pulling in huge profits without our help – then we’ll have to make even deeper cuts somewhere else.”

Hear that, people? The government “can’t afford” to let you keep any more of your money than they decide is best for you! Aside from the class envy engendered by the rhetoric of “tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, or for hedge fund managers and corporate jet owners”, the fact is, as was experienced by JFK, when he lowed tax rates, when you lower tax rates, you increase tax revenues to the government because there is more activity generated. People have more incentive to invest in their businesses when there is a monetary gain expected.

Obama, however, is on the record of saying that he favors raising taxes, even if lowered tax rates generated more income to the government, for the sake of “fairness”.

“Pay as you go”. Gosh. We should remind Obama of this between now and 2012 to ask him how his massive “stimulus” bills were “pay as you go”? Where were the other cuts in spending, Mr. Obama?

Expect to hear the mantra of “tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires” over and over again between now and election 2012. Remember, with Obama, it’s not about fixing the economy or putting people back to work, it’s about “fairness”. If everyone (except the ruling class which he so conveniently seems to be a part of) is equality broke, then it’s “fair”. If everyone (except the ruling class which he so conveniently seems to be a part of) has crappy health care, at least it’s “fair”!

If gas is five dollars a gallon and bologna is ten bucks a pound and you can’t turn your thermostat higher than 67° in the winter time, at least we’ll have the satisfaction of knowing we really stuck it to those corporate jet owners…who used to employ us for good wages!

Problem is…….to make that work, Liberalism has to make things bad enough that we actually go to Obama for help, start to look at Big Govt as the answer—not the problem

and in this country…….that will take several generations of stagnent or worse economic conditions…..problem is we are already 2 generations in with 40% of pop on welfare, food stamps and or pay no net taxes, and our youth now products of a left wing education system and addicted to playstation more than work.

and that is why CBO is projected 2% growth (at best) for the next 50 years………….and then remember in the last year of GW, when the economy slowed to 3% range:  the left wailed we were in the “great recession”…….well—-welcome to Obamaville, the Food stamp POTUS, enjoy while he hits the golf course and bows to the muslims.

Now as Bill Ayers and a group discussed a while back……just what to do with the 25 million hardcore capitalists…..the present day Kulaks…………just what to do, what to do…….especially with the 2nd amendment still around………..what to do

National sovereignty is a Liberals nightmare, no? That is why the communists have used the ACLU for over 100 years to tear the constitution apart as they have had a field day usuping and redistributing under the little tiny section known as “The General Welfare Clause.” Look up what Jefferson had to say how if this happened the whole of the Document would be meaningless as we left the “Rule of Law Republic” and became a majority rule democracy…The rule of men “above” the rule of limited government law….Folks needed to wake up to the Founders and their writings several generations ago, IMO.

Like Maggie Thatcher once said, the problem with socialism is that eventually you’ll run out of other peoples money.

Since you brought up JFK, I thought a few quotes would highlight the difference in the Democratic party today. It’s almost like a blueprint if you take an opposing view of his intent.

“The tax on capital gains directly affects investment decisions, the mobility and flow of risk capital… the ease or difficulty experienced by new ventures in obtaining capital, and thereby the strength and potential for growth in the economy.”

    John F. Kennedy

“Communism has never come to power in a country that was not disrupted by war or corruption, or both.”

    John F. Kennedy

“Once you say you’re going to settle for second, that’s what happens to you in life.”

    John F. Kennedy

“The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.”
    John F. Kennedy

“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”

    John F. Kennedy

“When written in Chinese, the word “crisis” is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity.”

“the difference in the Democratic party today.”  McGovern seems to be the watershed candidate in the Democrat party. Before McGovern, Democrats were pro defense and had some semblance of fiscal responsibility.

Cue the parrot to tell us “But, Obama shot bin Laden in the face!”

So true! This isn’t your daddy’s Democratic party. There are still many party members which vote upon family tradition, instead of their values. The present Democratic party had their fight over their direction, the traditional Dems lost. The Republican party is having their fight today. Fortunately, there are enough members which recognize this, and are willing to fight for control. It’s a formidable fight since the Dems, media, socialists, Alinsky-ites and schools have interjected themselves into this fight and joined the Liberal Republicans. I think it’s very important that people learn history.

“Cue the parrot to tell us “But, Obama shot bin Laden in the face!”

      One more quote:

“Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.”

      John F. Kennedy

Maybe that’s part of the problem? We have a Candy Land President in a Halo3 world.

Why don’t we roll back spending to FY 2007 levels? Surely that would be plenty of money to support the necessary duties of government.

    • http://proof-proofpositive.blogspot.com/ Proof

Someone suggested that since the Dems like to brag about how Clinton brought prosperity to the US, that we roll back spending to Clinton era levels.

    • spud

That would be a start but it is going to take alot more than that.  All politicians are scared of touching entitlements, and the days of going into every countries problems has to come to an end.  The defense of our country spending of dollars needs complete overhaul.  As far as debt issue we are going to need budget triggers to cap all spending and it will be a combo no it has to arrive at a combo of spending cuts and freezes and eliminating tax loopholes.  Then comes the number one issue down the pike which is the new reality.  55% of all new born children in USA past two years are not white.  There is a truth to reckon with not a racist comment.  The country has changed and by 2032 elections the words liberal and conservative will need to adapt to this tide of events.  The future for reforming or better yet living within our needs has to happen today because our tomorrows don’t look so bright.

      • http://Sayanythingblog.com The Whistler

Well there’s your problem. One thing I don’t get is the entire idea of
these entitlements being as good as a ‘contract” or an unbreakable promise.

Now it’s a promise from who to who? I certainly didn’t promise anybody
anything. If some slimeball politician made promises representing an
obligation on people that couldn’t vote or weren’t even born then he should
        be held responsible for it.

To me they are a scam and have always been that.

        • spud

Well I think your entitled to whatever you put into the system and that is it.  That is one way to change it.  If you paid 100,000 in thats all you draw.  We havesenior citizens living so much longer that they have received well over double plus what they originally put in.  Also these cola’s I know there has not been one for a couple years but why should that be continued its a joke.  I know it sounds like I am picking on the old but gimme a break they are not entitled to anything.  As for medicare all initial costs of doctoring visit should come out of pocket unless xray’s are involved.  If we are going to get agrip on these programs the senior citizen gravy train has got to include them also paying there fair share as they helped put us in this mess also.

          • http://Sayanythingblog.com The Whistler

I would agree with you but the only way you’ll get back what you put in is
if someone else puts in money they’ll never get back.

I’ll give up what I paid in as long as my kids aren’t abused by this liberal

          • http://Sayanythingblog.com The Whistler

            And your kids as well.

          • spud

I would as well though if we could get some plan like Bush wanted so our kids would have some say over (there money) I would be accepting of that.  It is the nightmare that I feel won’t end.

      • http://Sayanythingblog.com The Whistler

I will say that we have to be realistic about those that aren’t able to take
care of themselves. But but they should be told it’s charity and their kids
        aren’t gettin’ it.
