54% Of Americans Think The War In Iraq Is Not Lost

An opinion poll, for what it’s worth:

A majority of Americans - 54% - believe the United States has not lost the war in Iraq, but there is dramatic disagreement on the question between Democrats and Republicans, a new UPI/Zogby Interactive poll shows. While two in three Democrats (66%) said the war effort has already failed, just 9% of Republicans say the same.

At the very least this should put an end to all those Democrat talking points about a “majority of Americans” thinking the war is hopeless or lost.

You’d think, anyway.

I like what Zogby chose for a headline:

Survey finds two in three Democrats believe the war is already lost

Uh, no.  When at first you don’t succeed, try, try again (unless it comes to war, then surrender, surrender again and again).</snark>

1491 AD poll says, 99 % of World population believes that the earth is flat.

I don’t believe anyone believes that we have “lost the war”, it’s the peace we have lost.
