Obama on Wednesday 8/17:

“I don’t think we’re in danger of another recession…”  (read the whole thing here)

Morgan Stanley today:

“Our revised forecasts show the US and the euro area hovering dangerously close to a recession…”

Plus the economic news to hit today is less than encouraging.  Inflation ticked up, first-time jobless claims were up (news for which Drudge engineers yet another devastating juxtaposition of a care-free President frolicking in the face of bad economic data.  Obama better hope that no one reads Drudge).
In other news, with the “listening tour” in full swing, Obama tells a farmer in Illinois not to believe his own lyin’ eyes.   Uh oh, I hear a voice from my childhood
“…a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the…”

Obama has been wrong on everything he has touted during his time in office. Stimulus, and jobs growth, backing candidates, football teams, basketball teams, etc. He has been a veritable “Kiss of Death” to all he associates himself with.   After hosting the S.F. Giants, last years World Series Winners, at the White House recently, the team has been spiraling downward in the standings. At one time it was determined the odds of hitting 23 solo home runs in a row was over 1,000,000 – 1, but that’s just what the team did.. Their pitchers throw, nearly, perfect games, and lose 1-0. They have, truly, become a disaster since that meeting. Now I ask you, should the person who arranged that meeting not have been fired for that egregious error of judgement?  For you see, the team which has recently roared past the Giants in the standings, is none other than the Arizona Diamondbacks, the same Arizona that his royal highness is presently in the process of suing. Is this not major Karma taking place before our eyes? I think it is…
