$125,000,000 And Counting

$125,000,000

Impressive number, no? Wanna know what it is? Its the amount of money (approximately) donated privately by American citizens and businesses to the tsunami disaster.

Anyone else want to call Americans stingy?

I'd point out that the Brits are doing pretty darn good themselves.

All this money is good, but it may be time for us to stop having an international competition to see who can raise the most money and start making sure that the money is going toward solving the problems the tsunami victims are facing right now. Throwing massive amounts of money at a problem doesn't always ensure that the problem will be solved in a timely manner.
