I’d point out that the Brits are doing pretty darn good themselves.
All this money is good, but it may be time for us to stop having an international competition to see who can raise the most money and start making sure that the money is going toward solving the problems the tsunami victims are facing right now. Throwing massive amounts of money at a problem doesn’t always ensure that the problem will be solved in a timely manner.
