Poll: Americans Apparently Oppose Disclosure Of Treasury Program

From a Fox News poll:

Here's another one:

Analysis here.

Normally I'm of the opinion that any single poll usually isn't worth the paper it is written on, but when the results are this lop-sided they've got to tell us something.

As I pointed out in my previous post about the disclosure of the Treasury's anti-terror program, the decision as to what details of national security initiatives should and should not be made public should be made by our elected leaders...not by journalists. For journalists to think that these decisions are theirs to make is so arrogant that I cannot imagine how any American can be pleased with what they have done.

We elect leaders in this country so that their decisions will matter. When journalists ignore that, they ignore the will of the people. That generally doesn't make the people very happy, and I think the poll above is an indication of that.

What if he was doing it before he said he needed it?

Gee, I guess if that’s true it would invalidate Richard Clarke’s claim that every other asshole leftist out there repeats when they claim that the Bush administration ignored warnings from the Clinton morons that a terror attack was coming. One I’m sure you’ve made many times yourself, RBB.

Why is it TripleWinkle has to be rude and obnoxious like so many others here when rbb is able to just make a comment without rudeness?

Must be because rbb is a better man.

Why do you have to be rude and obnoxious on almost every thread, diane?

Apparently we have a winner! At least she knows who I’m talking about, knows she’s been invalidated by truth once again and knows what part of the anatomy she most closely resembles. Probably not only in looks but in actions and smell too. If she wasn’t guilty she would’t have objected to what I said. There’s nothing rude about being honest, the only people who find it rude would be those who are dishonest.

RBB, the NSA program dates back well before Bush’s admin.

Even your url link provides evidence of that:

The NSA says on its Web site that in June 2000, the agency was seeking bids for a project to ``modernize and improve its information technology infrastructure.’’ The plan, which included the privatization of its ``non-mission related’’ systems support, was said to be part of Project Groundbreaker.

And on another thread, you criticize Bush for failing to act quickly enough to repair all of the damage caused by the incompetence Clinton administration.

Really, you are so scattered in your Bush criticism, I have trouble figuring out what he could do that would ever satisfy you!

There is absolutely no way to satisfy someone so consumed by BDS. RBB proved that when he shot one of his own claims down. That’s about like the warped idea about not feeding trolls. Anything posted that isn’t a direct and dishonest attack on the Bush administration is food for trolls. The same applies to anything that is a direct and dishonest attack on the Bush administration, it’s the nectar of the troll gods. If you don’t believe that a quick stroll though the posts and comments at any moonbat site should change your mind. The only way to not feed trolls is to not blog or comment at all. That’s exactly what the trolls want, their side and only their side ever discussed or considered.

b: Exactly; they need to be refuted again and again, as often as it takes to win the argument.

Back on subject:

Has anyone heard of an NYT advertiser boycott?

As we all know, this New York Times has gone beyond partisan on the way to traitorous.

Whistler,

Michelle Malkin had a partial list of NYT advertisers in a 6-28 post entitled “Terrorist-Tipping Times.”
