Bye Bye Biden
The pitiful display by Democrat senators during the Supreme Court confirmation hearings has now become the equivalent of certain Democrats taking out the 12 gauge shooting themselves in both feet. This has been a public display of the mean-spirited, cultural and political bankruptcy of the "looney left." I should be thankful in that they're only hurting themselves, but they discourage me for the future. This has done nothing but widen the great political divide in this country.
Kennedy: If he could get any lower I don’t know how. But I’m not shocked at the schwimmeister’s demeanor or lack of class any more.
Schumer: Mean, dirty, stupid and...well...I don’t like him very much.
Durbin: Illinois own Beaver Cleaver. Geez Beev, looks like you really screwed up this time.
The one that is most discouraging, however, is presidential hopeful Joe Biden.
Joe Biden has demonstrated arrogant, self-aggrandizing and self-centered behavior that forever dooms his hope of ever being nominated or elected to the Presidency of the USA. He has once again been tripped up by his mouth.
Even Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen has bemoaned his fate in a column today:
The only thing standing between Joe Biden and the presidency is his mouth. But his tendency, his compulsion, his manic-obsessive running of the mouth has become the functional equivalent of womanizing or some other character weakness that disqualifies a man for the presidency.
After all, no one -- with the possible exception of family members -- ever tells a senator to shut up. They are surrounded by fawning staff and generally treated as minor deities. They lose perspective, which is why, now that you've asked, they talk and talk at these hearings.
He has much to say -- and then too much to add. He is an anatomical disaster. His Achilles' heel is his mouth.
With Biden dead in the water, we have only Hillary to look to in 2008. That, depending on your perspective, is either good or bad.
But regardless: Bye bye, Biden.
