Terrorists To Use The New York Times Defense

Lovely...

WASHINGTON, Dec. 27 - Defense lawyers in some of the country's biggest terrorism cases say they plan to bring legal challenges to determine whether the National Security Agency used illegal wiretaps against several dozen Muslim men tied to Al Qaeda.

The lawyers said in interviews that they wanted to learn whether the men were monitored by the agency and, if so, whether the government withheld critical information or misled judges and defense lawyers about how and why the men were singled out.

Tied to al Qaeda. Did you get that part? This means that these men were likely part of the same global jihad that brought the 9/11 attacks to our shores. And now, because of the media's irresponsible reporting based on an illegal leak of classified information, these men well be able to delay their trials with endless legal challenges. In short, the anonymous innuendo being reported by the media is doing some direct harm to our ability to prosecute the war on terror.
