Hannity Nails Hinchey

Via NRO's Media Blog:

HANNITY: I'm listening to what you're saying. So you're saying when the President told the nation that Saddam's nuclear threats are a real grave danger to America and Saddam's WMDs are a threat to America, you're saying that George W. Bush purposely lied to America? Is that what you're saying?

HINCHEY: I'm saying whoever wrote that speech gave false information to the Congress. Whether or not the President knew it when he gave the speech, I'm not sure. Whoever wrote that speech certainly did.

HANNITY: The only problem is Congressman, the words I just said to you were John Kerry's words. John Kerry said that to America. You voted for John Kerry. Now I'll ask you, did John Kerry give false information to America?

HINCHEY: John Kerry, I think, made a mistake and voted for the resolution —

HANNITY: Oh, he made a mistake and Bush is a liar.

Ouch.

"HANNITY: Oh, he made a mistake and Bush is a liar.”

This is something of a misrepresentation, because Hinchey had just backed away from calling Bush a liar -

“HANNITY - ...you’re saying that George W. Bush purposely lied to America? Is that what you’re saying?”

Response - “I’m saying whoever wrote that speech gave false information to the Congress. Whether or not the President knew it when he gave the speech, I’m not sure.”

That’s gonna leave a mark.

Kerry’s mistake—well, one of many—was that he believed the President’s lies for a time. Y’all, of course, believe his lies to this day.

You just can’t admit that your idols like Clinton and Kerry believed the exact same thing before the President ever started telling his “lies.” Spin, spin, spin.  I love the way that Hinchey attempted to crawfish on his answer.  All the lefties want the President to say that he deliberately lied, but they themselves can’t tell the truth.  Hypocrites all.

What makes you think that either Clintno or Kerry are my “idols"---other than the simplistic, either/or, bumper-sticker style thinking the right is so justly famous for?

Yeah, Kerry’s problem was that he believed all of Clinton’s lies about how Iraq was a threat with WMD’s and it was a real concren to the nation.

Don, that was the lying President you meant, correct?  Or did you have a different President in mind with the same information?

I’m willing to admit that Clinton was simply mislead by poor intelligence gathering in Iraq.  Any chance you’d give the same credit to ChimpyMcHitler (err, Bush)?

That’s easy. In American politics, there are only two political parties: Republicans and Democrats. Similarly, there are only two political ideologies: conservatives and liberals. Since you criticized one party (Republicans), that makes you very clearly a liberal Democrat.

Duh!

Care to prove anything you said about Clinton (who, just for the record, I voted FOR in 1992 and AGAINST in 1996)?

Also, please knock off the tedious “ChimpyMcHitler” bullshit, will you? It’s making you look even sillier. Dubya is nothing like Hitler---

***Hitler took a devastated economy and built it into a powerhouse, Dubya did the exact opposite.

***Hilter actually showed up for his military service and even saw combat, Dubya did the exact opposite.

I will admit that yes, Dubya does look a little bit like a dazed chimp, but I don’t blame him for that.

Duh indeed!

Thanks Kevin.  And yes, ND is pretty great.  I sure enjoy living here.

Clinton is on record talking about the threat of Iraq and Saddam’s WMD’s.

Don Myers spits, Kerry’s mistake—well, one of many—was that he believed the President’s lies for a time. Y’all, of course, believe his lies to this day.

Someone needs a dictionary. And then you say…

What makes you think that either Clintno or Kerry are my “idols”—other than the simplistic, either/or, bumper-sticker style thinking the right is so justly famous for?

Are you for real? Your “President’s lies” claim isn’t bumper-stiker style of thinking the left is justly famous for? Get real pal.

Also, please knock off the tedious “ChimpyMcHitler” bullshit, will you? It’s making you look even sillier. Dubya is nothing like Hitler—

***Hitler took a devastated economy and built it into a powerhouse, Dubya did the exact opposite.

What? Explain that one chief. Hitler brought the demise of Germany. Bush inherited an economic recession and now we have a hot economy (home ownership at all time highs, unemployment below 5%, etc.).

***Hilter actually showed up for his military service and even saw combat, Dubya did the exact opposite.

What? Explain that one chief. Why does this even matter? Did you forget that Bush was in the National Guard and flew jets that were nicknamed “widowmakers”? Apparently you did.

Dave said, ROTFL!!!

Great comment Dave.
