Mehlman Calls To Reassure Bloggers

Some bloggers today were lucky enough to get a call from RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman who was aiming to reassure them on the Miers nomination.

Its nice and all that he's trying to be reassuring, but it sure seems like he didn't offer much in the way of answers.

Really, though, if they'd nominated a better candidate for the high court Mehlman wouldn't need to be providing many answers as there probably wouldn't be as many questions. I really hope the Republicans don't make a big battle out of this.

Miers was a bad selection. There are better choices out there. Bush should back down on this one and pick somebody better.
