Reminder: Father’s Day Is Tomorrow

Just a friendly reminder to y'all from SayAnything that tomorrow is Father's Day. Buy your dad a card, stop by to see him, or give him a call... just don't make it collect...

DLD Digest - Depending on the number of children he has, Dad may want to budget a little bit extra for his long distance phone bill this month to cover the cost of his Father's Day calls on June 18th. While Father's Day is one of the top three calling holidays, AT&T anticipates Sunday, June 18 to be the year's number-one collect calling day. For overall calling volume, Father's Day ranks below Mother's Day and Christmas. But Dad surpasses all others when it comes to accepting the charges. Dad can take some solace from the fact that you always charge the ones you love: the second- and third-ranking collect calling holidays fluctuate between Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.

And how do I love thee? Let me count the minutes: holiday long distance calls tend to be about three minutes longer than average consumer calls. AT&T reminds offspring to go easy on dear old Dad by using 1-800-CALL ATT to place their collect calls. 1-800-CALL ATT for collect calls charges one low per-minute rate all day long, Father's Day and every day.

And if you yourself are a father, slap your kid upside the head if he tries to pull this one on you tomorrow...

There’s such a disparity between mother’s day and father’s day.  Mothers are lavished with gifts, father’s get collect phone calls and a tie.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
