Reaping What You Sow

As I noted in my post about the President's press conference last night, NBC (and apparently several other stations, though I wasn't watching them) cut away from the live broadcast early in order to go to their normally scheduled shows. As I pointed out in that post, I think this was rather silly of them. When they cut out there was only a few minutes of the press conference left. If NBC, for instance, had cut out their "analysis" with Brian Williams and Tim Russert they could have cut into The Apprentice at the same time anyway.

So, in response to this rather petulant display of arrogance by some of these stations, J. Tea of Wizbang has a proposed a response for the President:

1) At the next news conference, after half an hour has passed, Bush should ask the reporters from NBC, CBS, and Fox to leave.

2) A White House official should be in charge of monitoring which networks cut away from the next one. As soon as that happens, their reporters should be removed from the conference.

After all, the networks have already shown how much interest they have in such events. If they don't feel like broadcasting them, then they shouldn't receive the benefit of having their reporters participating.

Sounds fair to me.

The Whitehouse could bring in Jeff Gannon, and the Village People could do analysis.
It’s hard work , but we are making progress.

Actually, JG, I had to quit pushing fascism a week ago. It was aggravating my bad back. Now I’m looking into pushing liberalism—it’s so light and insubstantial, it shouldn’t cause me any problems at all.

Of course when Jay Tea isn’t pushing creationism--he’s pushing fascism.

Last I heard, AWOL George didn’t own the airwaves; seems an illiterate drunk like him should be grateful for free airtime.

of course, pushing facism is about the same thing as pushing creationism, right JG?

A President who asks for so little airtime as Bush you’d think would be given the time he asks for.... then again, it is sweeps and most people don’t care enough to watch the President.....

Additionally,

You had said JG, Last I heard, AWOL George didn’t own the airwaves; seems an illiterate drunk like him should be grateful for free airtime.

First, who’s “AWOL George”? Perhaps you didn’t know that that moonbat theory was debunked years ago or perhaps you’re just being an unremitting jackass.  I’ll assume the latter.  Either way, it’s unbecoming. And second, where was owning the airwaves mentioned?  You’re confused.  What was said was, “their reporters should be removed from the conference.”

Glad I could spell that out for you.

Don’t care about the creationism, but can you link to where Jay Tea is “pushing fascism”?  Thanks.
