Ward Churchill Definetly Not An Indian

Update: Churchill was misquoted in the story below. Details here.

Honolulu Star-Bulletin - Churchill did address the issue of his ethnicity, admitting that he is not Native American.

"Is he an Indian? Do we really care?" he said, quoting those he called his "white Republican" critics.

"Let's cut to the chase; I am not," he said.

His pedigree is "not important," Churchill said: "The issue is the substance of what is said."

Except that it is important when you put it on the resume you gave to your employer before they hired you.

Churchill goes on to support his essay by saying that the World Trade Center was a "legitimate target" because it was a "symbol" of America's financial power which allows us to flex our military muscle across the world.

Which, you know, pretty much puts him on the other side...but we already knew that.

Anyway, you gotta love these Hawaiian protesters who were at the even to greet Ward:

Who's Your Daddy

Shouldn’t this guy be fired? If I was to lie about my technical qualifications on a resume or job application, I’d be walked off the jobsite immediately! I’ve had several supervisors on the DOD jobs that I worked, that were “terminated” for lying about having a Bachelors degree!
Why isn’t the state of Colorado * CU in general up in arms over this guy?

I would never include my ethnic background on a resume. There is a word for anyone who would consider that important:

Racist.

And yet, for affirmative action reasons, race is very much a factor that could get you hired.
