Chat Room

Down in this post we've been discussing what could be done to make Say Anything better. One of the things I came up with was creating a chat room for live discussion of big events.

I've signed up with a free service and have a chat room open here. Its working great for me but I thought I'd open it up to the public to see how if it works well on different systems with different set ups.

If you can't get in for whatever reason email me with the problems you're having.

Sure seems like it sometimes, but no.

No problems here, but I was the only one there.  I do appreciate the “Welcome” message at the start though.

Thanks for checking it out Chad.  We did have a nice group going earlier in the evening with me, Dakota Pundit, Mr. Bowen, Willis from Youngpundit and Ian from The Political Teen.

It was fun.

Bush Picks Appeals Judge
John Roberts Jr.
For Supreme Court

By JOHN HARWOOD and JESS BRAVIN

July 19, 2005 8:16 p.m.

WASHINGTON—President Bush, in a surprise choice that could spark a Senate confirmation battle, has selected conservative appeals judge John Roberts to fill the Supreme Court opening created by the retirement of moderate Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.

Administration officials disclosed the choice in advance of a nationally televised speech by Mr. Bush scheduled for later tonight. The choice ends a frenzied day of speculation that initially revolved around Edith Brown Clement of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Instead, Mr. Bush chose fill the first high court vacancy in 11 years with the Harvard-educated Mr. Roberts, who has served since 2003 on the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.
