Code Pink, one of the largest and most well-known anti-war groups in the country right now, snuck several protesters into innauguration ceremonies over a year ago and heckled the President. The online activist group Indymedia came under law enforcement scrutiny after posting the personal details of delegates to the Republican National Convention on their website. Also during the convention several fringe anti-war groups planned to disrupt proceedings with tactics aimed at fooling bomb-sniffing dogs and using sling shots to pelt police horses with marbles, and earlier in the year yet another group put on some sort of performance/play called “I Want To Kill The President.” [...]

[...] Code Pink is the same group responsible for heckling the President at his innaugural speech a year ago (after receiving tickets from congressional Democrats). So, to them, shouting down the President during a speech is just fine and dandy, but don’t you dare try to advertise a political viewpoint they disagree with. [...]

Woolsey for giving Cindy Sheehan the invite.  Clearly this was a stunt aimed at disrupting the President’s speech, and it certainly isn’t the first time Democrats have employed this sort of tactic.  It is bad enough that Rep. Woolsey would lend credence to the kind of vile, vicious rhetroric spewed by Cindy Sheehan but to invite such a loose cannon into a Presidential speech with the clear intent on disrupting it is beyond the pale.
